It's Byron's time to celebrate!!

Byron has always been the preferred destination for parents to choose to have their kids attend school. After receiving the 2010 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award, the Byron School system and staff are now, more than ever, educational leaders with the backing of National recognition.

The ceremony, held in the Byron High School gym with all 1,700 students from pre-kindergarten to high school seniors, was also filled with state and national dignitaries in person, through proclamations or on video congratulating the school, saying it reflected the entire community. Five students also prepared a video telling why Byron students and staff thought the school did so well.

Byron High School students were highlighted in the middle of the gym boasting their dark blue T-shirts with the logo of the 2010 National Blue Ribbon School of Excellence Award.

Only 313 schools out of 138,000 schools nationally received the honor. Byron was the only Minnesota high school to receive it.
